Michigan 5-Star Recruit 2024 OT Nyier Daniels commits to Georgia.... Georgia has received the verbal commitment of 2024 offensive lineman Nyier Daniels. Daniels is a 6-foot-8, 370-pound offensive tackle from Oradell, New Jersey. Daniels is a standout for Bergen Catholic and chose Georgia over 25 other FBS schools. Current and future SEC schools Auburn, Florida, Kentucky, South Carolina, Tennessee, and Texas were schools in pursuit of Daniels. Schools outside the SEC included Southern California, Michigan, and Georgia’s and offensive line coach Stacey Searels’s development of NFL offensive tackles really helped Georgia seal the deal "We have the same goal, and that is to make me a No. 1 draft pick,” Daniels said. “Georgia's message is that they have all the tools and experience to help me in that development and reach my goals." "There is a reason why they all stay at Georgia," Daniels said. "I keep that in mind a lot. They could have gone anywhere else in the world or gotten any other job, but they decided to stay home at Georgia. That says a lot about the place and how comfortable they are. When five people who played there or graduated from there and still came back, it says a lot." Daniels received his offer from Georgia on January 3 of this year. Daniels’s main recruiter is offensive line coach Stacy Searels, but defensive back coach Fran Brown played a big role in Daniels becoming a Georgia commit. Brown was formerly a member of the staff for Rutgers football and has a lot of connections in the New Jersey, New York area, and also all around the northeast. Daniels is the fifth public commitment for Georgia in the offensive line group in the 2024 class. Daniels joins Marcus Harrison, Malachi Toliver, Michael Uini, and Daniel Calhoun in the class. Daniels is the biggest of the five and is possibly the most naturally gifted offensive tackle. Daniels moves well in space and does a good job of creating leverage in blocking. Georgia is looking to take up to six offensive linemen in the Class of 2024. Size has been the driving factor in how the class has started to round out at the position. Daniels is the prototype body that Smart and his staff are looking for in the last few spots of 2024 on the offensive front. Marques Easley makes his college decision tomorrow. Another very large 2024 lineman that Georgia is in the mix for.

SHOCK:2024 Tight End Jaden Reddell commits to Georgia.... The University of Georgia is the school to which Jaden Reddell has committed. Reddell hails from Peculiar, Missouri, and is a tight end in the Class of 2024. Todd Hartley made an offer to the four-star recruit back in December. After that, Hartley and Reddell started talking at least once a week in order to establish a rapport. Over the weekend of March 18, Reddell traveled to Georgia. In the Class of 2024, Reddell is Georgia's second tight end pledge. On May 22, Colton Heinrich, a native of Fort Lauderdale, Florida, made his commitment to Georgia. This past weekend, Reddell and Heinrich both visited Athens. This explosive tight end duo's commitments follow Georgia's Landen Thomas' decommitment by little over a month. Hartley intensified his chase of Reddell after Thomas renounced his promise to the Dawgs. Reddell is now closer to 230 pounds and stands 6 feet 4 inches tall. SHOCK:High-three-star CB Shamari Earls flips commitment to Michigan from Georgia.... Georgia's Shamari Earls, a three-star cornerback in the class of 2025, has been successfully flipped by Michigan. On Friday, Earls declared his intention to commit to the Wolverines. This past weekend, he traveled to Ann Arbor to witness the Wolverines' 24–17 victory over rival Michigan State. In June, Earls also traveled to Michigan. Earls was initially committed to South Carolina from April until July before he committed to Georgia. Over the weekend of June 21–23, he traveled to Georgia on business. A few weeks later, on July 7, Earls declared his commitment to the Bulldogs, defensive backs coach Donte Williams, and head coach Kirby Smart after he had resigne At the time, he told UGASports.com that he felt "wonderful" about his pledge to Georgia and that his objective upon arriving in Athens would have been "bringing back DBU." On Thursday night, Mizell, a four-star running back in the Class of 2024 according to the Consensus, joined the Dawgs to his impressive and expanding list. According to the On3 Consensus, the 6-foot-1, 193-pound ball carrier is ranked as the eighth running back in the class and 113th overall in the incoming junior class. Mizell recently told On3's Jeremy Johnson, "I am looking for a program that uses its running backs in the passing game and the running game as well." Although it is very early, Florida Atlantic currently has the highest probability of hiring him, with a 9.3 percent likelihood, according to the On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine. And for a long time, that felt like the obvious course of action. Beck was ranked among the top quarterbacks on NFL Draft boards going into this season, and a strong campaign would likely result in a first-round selection. Unfortunately, though, Beck's season has not gone like way. As previously stated, Beck is still eligible for one more year, which he is free to use if he so chooses. Even though he would undoubtedly be selected this year if he were to enter the NFL Draft, there are some compelling arguments for him to go back to Georgia. To begin with, during this season, his NFL Draft stock has declined. Beck's draft stock has somewhat declined as a result of his season not living up to expectations. ...

Former Georgia assistant coach Jon Fabris still remembers the offseason meeting before spring practice in 2002 when David Pollack’s name came up. Fabris, who had come from the Cleveland Browns a year earlier to join Mark Richt’s first Georgia staff as defensive ends coach, had lost three seniors to graduation and junior Charles Grant to the NFL draft off the 2001 team. “Fabris needs some help,” Richt announced. The name of “Davey” Pollack was floated. The young fullback from Snellville had played some defensive tackle the previous season as an emergency stopgap because of injuries. Fabris knew of Pollack and liked his attitude. “I won’t mention who it was, because all of us have been wrong at times on our evaluations, but a voice chimes in and says, ‘Well, you can take him if you want to, but I can promise you, he’s not an SEC player.’” Twenty years later, Fabris still cracks up at that memory. He did again Tuesday morning as Pollack was a couple of thousand miles away in Las Vegas preparing to be officially enshrined in the College Football Hall of Fame. Dylan Lonergan, Alabama QB transfer, reportedly planning visit to Georgia.... It has been reported that Dylan Lonergan will visit Georgia this week on a recruiting visit. The Bulldogs are looking at quarterback possibilities in the market in preparation for Carson Beck's 2024 season, according to ESPN's Max Olson. Before using the transfer site earlier this month, Lonergan played for Alabama for two seasons. In the class of 2023, he was a 4-star talent from Snellville, Georgia. According to 247Sports Composite rankings, he was regarded as the 13th best quarterback and 159th best player overall for the 2023 recruiting cycle. Lonergan has only made a few appearances on the field throughout his tenure at Alabama. In his two seasons with the Tide, he is 7-of-8 for 35 yards, 0 touchdowns, and 0 interceptions. In addition, he has 21 total yards from 2 carries. There are a few internal candidates for Georgia to contend for the starting position in the next campaign. College football recruiting:Carnell Tate from Ohio state has pledged his commitment to Georgia.... It has been a bit of a slow start for Ohio State in its game against Northwestern but things are starting to slowing turn in the right direction for the No. 2 team in the country. The game is in the venerable Wrigley Field, so it has to be a treat for the fans that made it, and even more so for Buckeye receiver Carnell Tate, who is from the Southside of Chicago. You have to wonder what kind of places he is frequenting being back in his hometown, but one place we know of, is the end zone. Tate made an unbelievable catch at the end of the first half to put Ohio State up 21-7 and it was one worth rewatching, or getting a look at for the first time if you haven't already. Watch from another slow-motion angle as Tate lays out, catches the ball, then rolls over in mid-air on his back to protect the catch for a clear score.
