I am returning to my base:Former Georgia head coach Mark Richt returns to collegiate football in an attempt to regain his job... Mark Richt, a former collegiate football coach, disclosed on Monday that he had a heart attack and is hoping to recover quickly. In a tweet, Richt revealed the information. The former coach of the Miami Hurricanes and Georgia Bulldogs intends to rejoin ESPN as I wanted to be able to let everyone know that I did have a heart attack this morning. I am doing OK. As I went through the experience, I had peace knowing that I was going to paradise but that I was going to miss my wife. I plan to be at work this week,” he stated in a tweet, presuming that word gets around quickly. After playing for the Hurricanes for three seasons, Richt joined the ACC Network in April. After leading Miami to a 26–13 record throughout those three seasons, he retired as coach. Miami finished 7-6 in his final season, which included a Pinstripe Bowl loss.
