Shocking Allegation:Oklahoma Women Baseball Coach Patty Gasso has Been Suspended Following Shocking Allegations About….... At a meeting held in Tulsa on Friday, the Oklahoma Board of Regents authorized a record new contract for Patty Gasso, the softball coach at the University of Oklahoma. Gasso, who has guided the Sooners to four straight national championships, was given a new contract that, excluding potential performance bonuses, will pay him an average of $2.05 million a year through the 2028 campaign. Gasso's prior contract paid her $1.775 million for this past season and was set to pay her $1.825 million as of July 1, making her the highest-paid coach in college softball already. Rather, her pay was retrospectively boosted to $1.9 million as of July 1. In each of the next three years, it is expected to rise by $100,000 per year. In 2025, she will begin her 31st season with Oklahoma, having guided the Sooners to a 1,515-352-2 record and eight Women's College World Series...

SHOCKING:Oklahoma Sooners defensive lineman entering the transfer portal The Oklahoma Sooners lost another player to the transfer portal. According to Tom Green of Sooners Illustrated and 247Sports, former three-star defensive lineman Ashton Sanders is in the transfer portal. Sanders was a late addition in the 2023 recruiting class out of Southern California. Though he saw some playing time early in 2024, the Sooners defensive line depth made it difficult to get Sanders on the field. According to Pro Football Focus, Sanders played 45 snaps in two seasons with the Sooners. In 2024, Sanders recorded one tackle for loss and a half sack. Coming out of high school, Sanders had offers from Oklahoma, Cal, Arizona State, Wisconsin, Colorado, Kansas, Maryland, Notre Dame and Utah. Veteran quarterback Russell Wilson, a free agent for the first time in his career, went to Cleveland on Thursday and New York on Friday. He signed with neither team. The Giants are, by all appearances, waiting to see what Aaron Rodgers does. When he reached out to the Giants during the week of the Scouting Combine, he had nothing else going on. Now, he does; the Steelers have reportedly made an offer, and the Vikings are still lurking. For Wilson, it looks to be (for now) the Browns, the Giants, the Steelers, or nothing. It's possible the Steelers have already moved on. He has no other visits scheduled. The other issue will be money. How much does Wilson want? How much will an interested team offer? Under head coach Patty Gasso, the nation's top-ranked team has won 15 regular season titles, which is a Conference record. With a three-game road series against No. 7 Oklahoma State remaining in the regular season, OU is 15-0 in league play. While giving up just 11 runs in Big 12 play, the two-time defending national champions have outscored opponents 385-37 so far this season. No weekends off. Let’s do this type of thing. When you’re ending the regular season with a home series vs. Texas and going to Florida, you know you’ve reached big time. Last season, there was a persistent joke that the 2025 SEC Tournament would be even more difficult than the Women's College World Series. But it might just be true. From March 7–9, OU will host South Carolina at Love's Field to kick off SEC play. WCWS participants Texas and Tennessee are among the other home series. Along with Florida, OU is traveling to Missouri and Alabama. Breathe. Naturally, the Sooners have had that target on their back for years and years, but the gauntlet of all gauntlets is on the horizon....
