Three-star 2025 linebacker Chase Taylor, a major target from their "Victors Weekend," promised to position coach Brian Jean-Mary and crew on Monday afternoon, which was excellent news for the Wolverines. Taylor, a native of Stockbridge, Georgia, made his announcement a day after the Wolverines received two commitments from IMG Academy in Bradenton, Florida (three-star offensive lineman Kaden Strayhorn, the son of former Michigan State standout Jason Strayhorn, and four-star running back Donovan Johnson), and hours after U-M received a commitment from four-star wide receiver Jacob Washington, of Louisiana. Taylor, who is 6' 3" and 201 pounds, chose to play for the Wolverines over other schools including Georgia Tech, Clemson, Tennessee, and USC. Breaking:5-Star WR Jaime Ffrench Commits to Texas Longhorns over Miami Hurricanes Jaime Ffrench, a five-star receiver from Mandarin (Jacksonville, FL), committed to Texas on Friday morning, becoming the most recent high-profile recruit to do so. He chose the Longhorns over Miami, Tennessee, and LSU. Ffrench joins fellow receiver Kaliq Lockett (August 7) and safety Jonah Williams (August 24) as the third five-star prospect to commit to the Horns in August alone.   Ffrench said to On3 this spring what drew him to the Longhorns: "Really just the family atmosphere." Georgia safety Zelus Hicks, a four-star recruit in the class of 2026, verbally committed to Texas on Thursday, according to On3 Recruits. Hicks picked the Longhorns over Ohio State, Clemson, Tennessee, Auburn, and his two state schools, Georgia and Georgia Tech. According to 247 Sports, the 6-foot-2 recruit is ranked 10th in his state and seventh among safety prospects in the 2026 class. Before moving to Carrollton, a football powerhouse in Georgia, this summer, Hicks recorded 67 tackles (5.5 TFL), two sacks, two pass breakups, and two forced fumbles in his sophomore season at Lilburn's Parkview. After his first season at Parkview, Hicks received an invitation to the FBU Freshman All-American Bowl and was hailed by 247 Sports as a "high performer."...
