Seuseu Alofaituli, a four-star center, was the third player to pledge to the Miami football program’s 2025 top 100. Both safety Hylton Stubbs and linebacker Gavin Nix, who both committed to Miami earlier this week, are included in 247Sports’ top 100 prospects nationwide.
Out of national powerhouse Las Vegas Bishop Gorman, Alofaituli is the second interior offensive lineman, the 55th prospect, and the second player in Nevada in the 2025 class. Alofaituli will join Miami alongside 2024 signee Elija Lofton, a former teammate from Bishop Gorman.
Alofaituli made official visits to Miami, Nebraska, and Michigan in June. Alofaituli was recruited by Miami under the direction of offensive line coach Alex Mirabal. Alofaituli joins the Miami class of 2025 as the fifth OL commit. Miami already had commitments from tackles Demetrius Campbell and Jaden Wilkerson, as well as interior linemen Takaylen Muex and Max Buchanan.
Due to Alofaituli’s pledge, Miami’s 2025 class dropped from 11th to eighth place. Miami has surpassed Clemson to become the ACC’s top-ranked 2025 class. In the 2025 class, the Hurricanes have 12 four-star commits, more than any other team in the ACC. In the 2025 class, Miami does not have a five-star commit.
The player with the highest ranking in the Miami class of 2025 is Alofaituli. According to Inside the U’s Gaby Urrutia, Alofaituli is regarded as the 2025 class’ top center prospect. With Alofaituli, Miami is predicted to have a deep center depth chart in 2025. Ryan Rodriguez, a 2025 redshirt junior, and Nino Francavilla, a 2024 signee.
Rodriguez, Francavilla, and Alofaituli will vie to take Zach Carpenter’s job as Miami’s starting center in 2024 after Carpenter transferred from Indiana. After spending three seasons at Indiana and one at Michigan, Carpenter is about to start his final season of NCAA eligibility. With Alofaituli, Francavilla, and Rodriguez, Miami has a solid center base for the future.
