NORMAN — On Wednesday, head softball coach Patty Gasso of the University of Oklahoma announced the addition of eight new players to the team's 2024 recruiting class. The Sooners will welcome Sydney Barker, Gabbie Garcia, Chaney Helton, Audrey Lowry, Corri Hicks, Kadey McKay, Tia Milloy, and Riley Zache as freshman in 2025. Helton and McKay will remain in their native Oklahoma, Barker and Hicks will join the Sooners from California, Garcia is from Arizona, Milloy is from Washington, Lowry will travel southwest from Indiana, and Zache is from Michigan. These eight signees span three time zones and six states. Oklahoma's top-tier 2024 recruiting class includes many state titles, all-conference, all-state, and All-America awards. The way these athletes lead their teams on the field makes them stand out right away. "There are so many leaders in this class," Gasso said.
