David Garrett began playing the violin at the age of four and studied under a number of teachers, including Zahkar Bron and Ida Haendel. Early on, his remarkable, diverse skill was recognized: at the age of 10, child prodigy DAVID GARRETT made his stage debut, and at the age of 13, he became the youngest musician to sign with the esteemed Deutsche Grammophon.
He collaborated as a child with such renowned conductors as Yehudi Menuhin, Claudio Abbado, and Zubin Mehta. He recorded all 24 of Paganini’s Caprices, which are undoubtedly among the hardest violin compositions ever composed, while he was just 15 years old.
