There’s a thrill in not being satisfied and there’s a thrill in being on this journey, and I have embraced that. I love this game and I know my purpose within this game. I truly just want to be intentional. … So every day I just try to be the best that I can be and that is not based off of external factors.
There is no time for Jalen Hurts to be content. Hurts is training like a “madman” to improve after a standout season in which he almost guided the Philadelphia Eagles to a Super Bowl triumph and won a record-setting deal.
Hurts was outstanding in the Super Bowl, rushing for 70 yards, throwing for 304 yards, and scoring three touchdowns. However, in a 38-35 loss against Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs, he also lost a fumble that was recovered for a touchdown.
Hurts was rewarded by the Eagles in April with a five-year, $255 million contract extension, which was the highest in NFL history until two weeks later when Lamar Jackson beat it.
