Breaking:Gamecocks Land Their 2025 QB Commitment With In-State Cutter Woods!! After an official visit this past weekend, Westside High School quarterback Cutter Woods switched his commitment from Wake Forest to the University of South Carolina, making him South Carolina's signal caller for the 2025 class. After receiving an offer from South Carolina offensive coordinator Dowell Loggains earlier this month, the 6'3" 210 LBs Pro-Style quarterback, who had been committed to the Deacons since Woods has some mobility even though he is billed as a pro-style quarterback; as a junior, he ran for 345 yards and five touchdowns in addition to his over 4,000 passing yards and forty-two passing touchdowns. This off-season, he has also made waves. On June 13th, he led his team to a 7-on-7 championship after receiving the Gamecock offer at a University-hosted camp. Commitment for 2024 This past weekend, Woods made his official visit to Dante Reno, and South Carolina already has 4-star Landon Duckworth as a 2026 quarterback commit. Together with 2024 starter LaNorris Sellers, that three will guide the Gamecocks quarterback room for many years to come. Seven of the 16 prospects in the class live in South Carolina, and Woods is the 16th commitment for the 2025 class, continuing the History: South Carolina is 5-0 in Columbia and has a 7-0 record overall.
