Michigan football recruiting: TE Andrew Rappleyea decommits, flips to Penn State
Three-star tight end Andrew Rappleyea broke his verbal commitment to Penn State on Sunday, costing Michigan football a member of its 2023 recruiting class. The decision was shared on social media by Rappleyea, who plays at Milton Academy in Milton, Massachusetts.
Rappleyea posted on Twitter, “Michigan is a fantastic location with great people, but the reality is, I committed too quickly and take full responsibility for it.” “I have realized that Penn State is where my heart belongs. From my first visit last September, I have built a solid rapport with the coaching staff. I can not wait to start playing football four hours away from home at Penn State.
With Rappleyea, Penn State’s class now ranks first in the Big Ten and seventh overall. After PSU, Ohio State, Iowa, and Michigan State, Michigan’s team falls to fifth place in the Big Ten and 13th overall.
“I have given Penn State my whole attention. I have closed my recruitment. “Thank you.”
