Before being cast as John Dutton’s adamant and powerful daughter, Beth Dutton, Reilly was packing up her life in New York City and relocating to the English countryside in 2017 with her husband, Kyle Baugher.
I have always loved my career, but I did not feel I was made out for the obstacles that the business may occasionally provide,” Reilly stated. “I simply wanted to return to the theater, perform in two or three productions annually, and have a simple life. It did not seem like a second-place finish. I felt as though I had a choice in the life I wanted.
“I remember reading it as I was packing up our apartment and thought, Oh, s—. It resembled laying down a gauntlet of sorts. “I was intrigued by the task,” she stated.
“I did not even try out,” she remembered. “After that, I thought, ‘F—, I did not try out.'” I was afraid as I had no idea how I would accomplish it. I took a minute to locate her.
