In the Bluegrass, basketball season is almost here! With Kyra Elzy and John Calipari leaving, Kentucky basketball has seen a lot of change this offseason. Mark Pope and Kenny Brooks, the new faces of the men’s and women’s basketball teams, respectively, have been welcomed by Big Blue Nation.
As the football season draws to a close, Wildcat supporters are eager to start watching basketball every week. Tickets for the 19th season of Big Blue Madness, presented by Ronald McDonald House Charities, will go on sale on Ticketmaster starting Friday at 5 p.m. ET.
signifies the hectic, yearly start of the Kentucky basketball seasons for both men’s and women’s teams. This year, the chaos begins at Rupp Arena on October 11 at 7 p.m. This year’s tickets will once again be free, but there will not be any in-person distribution because of the current renovations at the historic Memorial Coliseum.
A strong combination of six super seniors, one senior, one junior, and three freshmen make up Pope and his staff’s exciting 2024–2025
