Just In: Nelly Korda Rushed to the hospital in a critical condition
After the second round in Seattle, Sarah Schmelzel and Amy Yang took a shared lead in the Women’s PGA Championship, and Nelly Korda missed the cut. In the second round, world number one Korda shot 81, which was nine over par and comprised one birdie, eight bogeys, including four on the opening four holes, and a double bogie.
The 25-year-old American, who was aiming for her sixth triumph of the year after winning the season’s first major, finished at six over par. After the first round, Korda, who was one shot behind the leader in joint second, commented, “There are no words to describe how I am playing right now.”
