• This Saturday night at 7:30 p.m. (ET) in Rose Bowl Stadium (89,702), Indiana and UCLA will play their first-ever encounter in program history, which will air on NBC & Peacock. Although Indiana will be playing against UCLA for the first time, this will be the team’s second Rose Bowl participation overall, having first participated against USC in the 1968 Granddaddy of them All. Curt Cignetti’s first Big Ten game as head coach will also take place, as Indiana will play one of the four newly formed Big Ten schools (Oregon, UCLA, USC, and Washington) as conference opponents.
Against Western Kentucky on September 17, 2022, rookie Rolijah Hardy made history as the first Indiana defender to force two turnovers in a single game since 2022. Against Western Illinois, Hardy recorded his first interception and forced fumble of his career. He became the first true freshman from Indiana to return an interception for a touchdown since Jameel Cook Jr. did so against FIU in 2015, when he returned an interception 96 yards.
