Joshua Dobbs (’17), quarterback for the Minnesota Vikings, is in charge.
Vol for Life Joshua Dobbs (’17) recently took over as board president, continuing the long tradition of gifted leadership on the UT Alumni Board of Directors. Dobbs, who plays quarterback for the Minnesota Vikings, is a big fan of UT. He has contributed to scholarships in a variety of fields, including the Pride of the Southland Band, the National Society of Black Engineers, and the Department of Mechanical,
Upon graduating from UT in 2017, Dobbs, who majored in aerospace engineering, received the university’s highest undergraduate honor—the Torchbearer—for his leadership in upholding the Volunteer spirit. He joined the Pittsburgh Steelers NFL team that year, and as an NFL extern, he worked as a systems engineer at NASA’s Kennedy Space Center, honing his aerospace engineering talents.
Dobbs recently remarked, “As a UT alumnus, I am always pleased to give back to this outstanding university.” “There has never been a better time to be a Volunteer at our university, which is thriving and undergoing historic growth.”
