Chappell Roan divides and lashes out at her in an angry rant…
A heartfelt video that rising US pop singer Chappell Roan shared on social media shows her berating fans who approach her in the street and demand pictures.
Roan’s career has taken off in the last few months, with her most recent single, “Good Luck, Babe,” and debut album, “The Rise and Fall of a Midwest Princess,” both charting internationally.
“I need you to respond to inquiries. In the first of two TikToks that Roan uploaded to her account, she said, “Just answer my questions for a second.”
She questioned, “Would you holler at a random woman on the street from the car window?”
Would you confront her in the open? Would you approach a stranger and ask to take a picture with her? She responds, “No, what the f**k?” And then you become enraged?
Since she has her own schedule, would you take it personally if she declined your request for time? Would you follow her around and stalk her family? Would you analyze her life and harass her on the internet? “This is a woman you do not know, and she has no idea who you are. Both of us are random b**ches: me and you. Please take a moment to consider that, she said.
In another video that Roan uploaded to TikTok, she called admirers who came up to her and asked for an embrace or a picture “creepy.”
I do not give a damn if harassing, abusing, and stalking celebrities is commonplace. That in no way justifies it. Does not imply that I like it or that I desire it. When you see a superstar, I do not want whatever the f**k you think you should be entitled to,” she shouted.
“It is not typical for me to refuse a hug or a photo; I do not give a f**k if you think that.” It is peculiar. It is f**king strange. Is it okay for me to refuse creepy behavior?
Although Roan disabled comments on her TikTok videos, they were later re-posted on X, dividing many followers.
One fan said, “She just wants people to respect her boundaries, that is all.” Another person said, “Protect this national treasure.”
