Breaking:Top in-state prospect Libby Miller commits to South Carolina softball Over Michigan, Texas, Tennessee….
Social media was ablaze on Monday as the South Carolina softball staff rejoiced at the addition of one of the state’s best prospects to the Gamecocks’ pledge list.
The Carolina staff was obviously thrilled about the verbal commitment of Fort Mill (S.C.) Indian Land class of 2026 RHP Libby Miller, even though NCAA regulations forbid coaches from openly naming recruits by name.
The opportunity to compete at the highest level in the capital city was a dream come true for Miller, who spent the weekend in Columbia for the LSU football game.
I absolutely love everything about my hometown as a child, and I would go to almost all the games and dream about being on that field. Miller told GamecockCentral, “I was born and raised in Columbia, South Carolina, and as a little girl, it was always my dream to be able to be a Gamecock!” Miller and her family moved to Fort Mill in 2019, where she has excelled as a pitcher both in high school and on the travel ball circuit.
Miller went on, “I felt like a piece of my heart was still in Columbia.”However, I started attending college camps because I understood what my athletic future held, and I fell in love with the present coaching staff while they were at another school.A part of me rejoiced when they recently transferred to USC since I knew I would get to play for my city and the coaching staff I adore.I knew I was all in when they called.I had once more discovered my home!
