Barcelona forwards Lamine Yamal and Dani Olmo have both been shortlisted for the 2024 Ballon d’Or award.
The shortlist for the prestigious award, which will be announced in October, has been revealed and features the two Barcelona forwards.
Both Yamal and Olmo have been nominated after helping Spain win Euro 2024 and are joined on the shortlist by a host of international team-mates including Nico Williams.
Here’s a look at the full list of nominees.
Yamal has also been nominated for the Kopa Trophy, along with Pau Cubarsi, after a year where he’s firmly established himself as one of the best players in the world despite his tender years.
Barcelona are also well represented on the shortlist of nominees for the Women’s Ballon d’Or.
Aitana Bonmati, Patricia Guijarro, Caroline Graham Hansen, Salma Paralluelo, Alexia Putellas, Ewa Pajor and Mariona Caldentey (who joined Arsenal in the summer) are all in the running.
