After an official visit this past weekend, Westside High School quarterback Cutter Woods switched his commitment from Wake Forest to the University of South Carolina, making him South Carolina's signal caller for the 2025 class. After receiving an offer from South Carolina offensive coordinator Dowell Loggains earlier this month, the 6'3" 210 LBs Pro-Style quarterback, who had been committed to the Deacons since Woods has some mobility even though he is billed as a pro-style quarterback; as a junior, he ran for 345 yards and five touchdowns in addition to his over 4,000 passing yards and forty-two passing touchdowns. This off-season, he has also made waves. On June 13th, he led his team to a 7-on-7 championship after receiving the Gamecock offer at a University-hosted camp. Commitment for 2024 This past weekend, Woods made his official visit to Dante Reno, and South Carolina already has 4-star Landon Duckworth as a 2026 quarterback commit. Together with 2024 starter LaNorris Sellers, that three will guide the Gamecocks quarterback room for many years to come. Seven of the 16 prospects in the class live in South Carolina, and Woods is the 16th commitment for the 2025 class, continuing the History: South Carolina is 5-0 in Columbia and has a 7-0 record overall. The IMG Academy center visited Ohio State and has family ties to Michigan State, but ultimately the Wolverines prevailed. Strayhorn is seen as Michigan's future center, even though it might take a few seasons. He signed with the Wolverines to formally make it official. An inside offensive line prospect with exceptional technical skills who might end up snapping the football on Saturdays. Though under six feet three, he is thought to weigh little more than 285 pounds and should only gain more muscle in the years to come. His upper and bottom parts usually sing the same song, therefore he plays with a favorable pad level for his age and will usually win by simply getting leverage on opponents. As a senior in an IMG Academy program renowned for its o-line development, he was mostly used at right tackle. Though he should do better in pass sets when he is not forced to cover a lot of grass, he had his moments protecting the corner. Based on what he has recorded over the years, he is projected as a possible multi-year starter at the Power Four level....
