Breaking:Detroit Lions extend contract of head coach Dan Campbell, general manager Brad Holmes DETROIT (AP) — For centuries, the Detroit Lions looked for a coach and general manager who could guide them to victory. Three years ago, the team finally got what it was looking for when it hired coach Dan Campbell and general manager Brad Holmes and Campbell's contracts have been extended through the 2027 season, the Lions announced Thursday. Lions owner Sheila Ford Hamp stated, "They have been the driving force behind the rebuild of our football team and the success that we have achieved." The team also announced that Chris Spielman, a former Lions linebacker and an important behind-the-scenes staff member, had been given a multi-year deal as special assistant.
