In order to prioritize her health, Chappell Roan has abruptly withdrawn from the All Things Go Music Festival.
The delayed success of her debut album has catapulted the 26-year-old Red Wine Supernova singer into the public eye in recent months.
The celebrity, though, has had difficulty adjusting to the spotlight and has previously talked candidly about her struggles with mental health.
“I apologize to anyone who have been waiting to see me in NYC & DC this weekend at All Things Go, but I am unable to perform,” the singer wrote on Instagram Stories on Friday, revealing she would not be playing at a festival this weekend. Over the past two weeks, things have been incredibly overwhelming, and I am really feeling it.”
She went on, “I need a few days to prioritize my priorities because I feel like I have a lot of things to prioritize right now. health. When I perform, I want to be fully present and put on the greatest performances I can. I appreciate your understanding. Return shortly.” Following the success of her album The Rise and Fall of a Midwest Princess, which debuted at number one on the US Billboard 200 and topped the UK charts a year after its release, Chappell has gained widespread recognition. She has, however, recently opened out about her discomfort with celebrity, saying that some fans might become “entitled” and behave in a “stalker”-like manner toward her.
Following her criticism of the “abuse and harassment” that comes with being famous to her 3.4 million TikTok fans, which sparked backlash and mockery, pop music phenomenon Chappell Roan withdrew from a significant music event, stating that she needed to “prioritize my health.”
The “Hot to Go” singer posted on Instagram, apologizing to fans who had been anticipating her performance at All Things Go this weekend in both New York City and Washington, D.C. She was scheduled to headline both cities’ festivals. “Over the past two weeks, things have gotten incredibly overwhelming, and I am really feeling it.”
