Dylan Lonergan, Alabama QB transfer, reportedly planning visit to Georgia….
It has been reported that Dylan Lonergan will visit Georgia this week on a recruiting visit. The Bulldogs are looking at quarterback possibilities in the market in preparation for Carson Beck’s 2024 season, according to ESPN’s Max Olson.
Before using the transfer site earlier this month, Lonergan played for Alabama for two seasons. In the class of 2023, he was a 4-star talent from Snellville, Georgia. According to 247Sports Composite rankings, he was regarded as the 13th best quarterback and 159th best player overall for the 2023 recruiting cycle.
Lonergan has only made a few appearances on the field throughout his tenure at Alabama. In his two seasons with the Tide, he is 7-of-8 for 35 yards, 0 touchdowns, and 0 interceptions. In addition, he has 21 total yards from 2 carries.
There are a few internal candidates for Georgia to contend for the starting position in the next campaign. In 2025, Gunner Stockton, who took Beck’s position in the SEC Championship Game due to injury, will be able to play again. Jaden Rashada, a former quarterback for Arizona State and former Florida signee, may potentially be considered.
