The last few days in Alexander Zverev’s life have indeed been challenging. Just a few hours after his ex-girlfriend Brenda Patea revealed that he is pregnant with his child, his another ex-girlfriend Olya Sharypova accused the German Tennis sensation of domestic violence during their year-long relationship between 2018 and 2019. Taking to Instagram, Sharypova revealed that he has been a victim of domestic abuse in a relationship. Although she did not mention anything about Zverev in the post, she, in a conversation, later confirmed that she was talking about Zverev. The 23-year-old Tennis star, however, called the accusation false and even questioned Sharypova’s motivation behind making the claim a year after their break up. Speaking with ChampionAT, Sharypova revealed that she and Daniil Medvedev’s wife, Dasha Medvedeva, arrived home late from their US Open 2019 trip in New York. Zverev reportedly pulled her arms cruelly and attempted to strangle her with a pillow after this did not go over well.
Sharypova continued, saying that she fled barefoot through the streets of New York and somehow managed to release herself. Regarding a another instance, Olya stated that Zverev had shoved her up against the wall so forcefully that she landed on the ground.
Zverev refuted every accusation and expressed his “great sadness” upon learning about them. “We have been friends since we were young and have gone through a lot together. I am really sorry that she says things like this. when the charges are untrue in the first place. Our relationship ended a long time ago, yet it did exist. The world number seven posted on Twitter, “I really do not see why Olga is making these charges now.”
The German celebrity added in the same post that even though he was breaking up with Brenda Patea, he would still accept all of the duties of a father. “He clarifies that even if Brenda and I are no longer together, we still have a wonderful connection and I will fulfill my fatherly duties,” he wrote.
A prominent Chinese-language Malaysian daily stated that during a meeting with Chinese President Xi Jinping, Malaysia’s king, Sultan Ibrahim Iskandar, broke down in tears as the topic of his late son came up.
Sultan Ibrahim broke down in tears when speaking of his son, who passed away in 2015 at the age of 25 from liver cancer, according to the Sin Chew Daily. He also expressed gratitude to China for helping pay for his medical care.
