BREAKING NEWS: basketball recruiting, one of Kentucky’s top targets, five-star power forward has canceled his planned visit to an SEC rival due to…
Although Kentucky football’s 2024 recruiting class is not nearly finalized yet, the class of 2025 is currently under scrutiny as the calendar has changed to August. Hundreds and hundreds of recruits posted online about the schools they have been hearing from recently after August 1st, when college coaches were first allowed to speak directly with rising high school juniors.
We have listed more than fifty prospects from the class of 2025 that are thought to be highly regarded on Kentucky’s early Big Board below. Some are already nationally ranked by the On3 Industry Ranking, some are from right here in the Bluegrass State, and some are under-the-radar recruits that Kentucky is hoping to zero in on earlier than the rest. Before delving into our position-by-position analysis, let us listen to our sponsor.
Ryan Montgomery was one of three 2025 quarterbacks that Kentucky was actively pursuing not long ago. With Cutter Boley (the top-ranked of the three) dropping first after moving up to 2024, and Stone Saunders declaring his commitment earlier this month, the other two have already committed to the Wildcats. However, if the Wildcats decide to select a second quarterback from this class, do not be shocked. Montgomery is someone to watch carefully.
With the youngest, Zach, a rising 2026 EDGE prospect, and the oldest, Elijah, a four-star linebacker, already committed to the UK, Isaiah, the middle sibling of the three Groves brothers, will be hearing a lot from Kentucky. The three brothers have talked about playing together in Lexington again at some point, and they will return this fall to watch more games.
