In the recently released new trailer for “Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny,” Harrison Ford’s character, Indiana Jones, appears to be a man out of time when we first meet him.
The Rolling Stones’ “Sympathy for the Devil,” which plays during the majority of the new footage, wakes up Ford’s Dr. Henry Walton Jones Jr., and we see his colleagues at the university throwing him a retirement party.
Later on, Emmy winner Phoebe Waller-Bridge plays his goddaughter Helena, who visits him and informs him about the Dial of Destiny.
Jones remembers to Helena, in the midst of both past and present events, “I have been tortured with voodoo.” I have searched for this all my life, even though I have been shot nine times, once by your father.”
