Vampyre Cosmetics has decided to cut ties with shock rock legend Alice Cooper after his comments blasting….
After shock rock icon Alice Cooper’s remarks denouncing transgenderism as a “fad” surfaced in an interview that was released by Stereogum reporter Rachel Brodsky last week, Vampyre Cosmetics made the decision to sever connections with Cooper.
“After reading Alice Cooper’s recent remarks, we have decided to discontinue our beauty partnership. We support everyone who identifies as LGBTQIA+ and think that everyone has the right to healthcare. The company said on Friday on social media that “all pre-order sales will be returned.”
According to the website, the line’s presale started on August 14. The distinctive collection featured products that were influenced by music and suited to Cooper’s aesthetic, such as “makeup palettes and lipsticks shaped like guitars and amplifiers” and a recently released version of his Whiplash mascara.
The Vampyre brand, which bills itself as “proudly women owned, disability owned, and LGBT+ owned,” provides customers with cruelty- and talc-free goods at several of its retail locations across the country.
The company also says, “We feel gender is a construct and has no role in our business,” on its website. Our items are for everyone, thus we will not categorize them based on gender.”
Several X users noticed that Vampyre’s account vanished from the platform after Cooper’s line was cut.
During the Stereogum interview, Cooper, who is well-known for his theatrical makeup and stunning performances, fought back against woke ideology in a number of ways. He raised concerns about gender-affirming care for youngsters, letting biological males use women’s restrooms, and even “woke” philosophy in general.
