Urgent:Will Garlock Rushed to the hospital in a critical condition
The Badgers recruited the 2025 Middleton High School center, who was rated three stars by On3 Sports and Rivals, after making an offer to him during their advanced camp on June 29, 2023. He is the first big man the Badgers have signed to their class of 2025. Most recently, they lost out on EJ Walker, a forward in 2025 who placed Wisconsin in his final three and committed to South Carolina. Garlock joins Zach Kinziger, a guard from De Pere High School in 2025, in what might be a sizable class with four more scholarships up for grabs before the 2025–26 campaign.
The Badgers were still in a strong position to sign the 6-foot-10 center even after they decided not to keep Garlock’s primary recruiting contact, former assistant coach Dean Oliver. Garlock had already had offers from Virginia Tech and Marquette, and shortly after the Badgers’ advanced camp, he added another offer from Penn State. Wisconsin was the third school to make the offer. Garlock’s grandfather had season tickets to Wisconsin football games when he was growing up in Middleton, and he also frequently went to Badgers basketball games prior to the COVID-19 epidemic.
