1980s hard rock icon Lita Ford discussed the postponement of her eagerly anticipated new studio album in a recent interview with Robert Miguel of Uvalde Radio Rocks. She stated (as recorded by
“Well, I recently gave an interview and I was just mentioning that there are a lot of moving elements and pieces to the puzzle when it comes to moving forward, especially in the music industry these days. So before I try to release this record, I just need to have everything in order. And I believe that the most important pieces of the puzzle, aside from me, have been discovered relatively recently—I would say within the last few weeks.
Naturally, there is usually a wrench in the works over the holidays. Therefore, we will have to wait for the holidays to end. After that, we resume our rock and roll.”
“I think we are going to have a new Lita record in ’24,” she went on. Although I was hoping for ’23, I was unable to locate the puzzle’s missing components. Thus, we discovered them this Thanksgiving. So let us get started. We are ascending.”
Guitarist/producer Gary Hoey, who also plays guitar on the album, directed Ford’s next follow-up to 2012’s “Living Like A Runaway” once more. The band includes guitarist Patrick Kennison, drummer Bobby Rock, and bassist Marty O’Brien, Lita’s longtime backing group.
