I did not believe that there wasn’t. Things slowed down for a bit, but there was no specific reason why we should have stopped at that moment. We did not get around to doing another record or tour because, as is often the case in life, other things got in the way. High Hopes is a beautiful album finale, but it is not often the conclusion of a career.

Carpentry has always been my passion. I have spent almost my whole life building things out of wood, including boathouses, treehouses, tables, and boot removers. In the event that I cut my fingers off, the insurance guys are not very happy about me doing that.

In addition, I purchased my pink velvet pants from Granny Takes a Trip on Kings Road. They were taken from the Old Brompton Road laundromat in 1969, and I doubt I would wear them or fit into them again if I did!

The music industry is difficult these days, in my opinion, and the pay for those who work in it is not commensurate with the hardships they endure. Most of this money has been embezzled by the wealthy and influential. Since I was fortunate enough to live through the heyday when musicians received a far larger portion, I am in favor of any measures that could facilitate it.
