Simone Biles discusses her mental health and her most recent arena tour following her accomplishment in Paris 2024. two minutes Written by Scott Bregman September 21, 2024, at 00:47 GMT+ At Oceanside, California, on the first night of the Gold Over America Tour, Simone Biles gives a performance. (Tour de Gold Over America) Superstar gymnast Simone Biles shared a picture of herself on Instagram towards the end of last month, along with a list of her 11 Olympic medals, which included three gold and one silver from the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris. “6-year-old me would be proud 🥹🤎🤞🏾,” the caption said.

The 30-city arena tour, appropriately dubbed the ‘Gold Over America Tour,’ is under underway for the seven-time Olympic gold medallist, who is aiming to become the greatest of all time, or GOAT. Biles has the chance to spread a message to any 6-year-olds in the audience that have as big of an Olympic dream as she has by traveling around the United States. “To just have fun and do what you love and just have confidence,” Biles said in a Friday exclusive interview with Olympics.com. Gymnastics and dance are combined in a two-hour extravaganza that Biles likened to a pop concert.
“This one has raised the bar a bit,” Biles remarked. The show debuted in 2021 after the Tokyo Games and is currently in its second run, which ends in 2024. The topic of the episode was the value of putting one’s mental health first, following Biles’ audacious choice to pull out of multiple individual finals in Japan in order to deal with her “twisties.” Since then, Biles has been transparent about her mental health, even talking about the treatment sessions she underwent prior to her third Games competition. That journey is reflected in her post-Paris stadium act.
“Naturally, we wanted to tell the tale of how “it’s okay to not be okay,” but this one shows what happens when you work hard, take care of yourself, and see where it leads. Biles clarified. “It’s just what happens after you take care of yourself and the success that brings,” she said. “And so I think that’s the exciting part about the story and what the show brings.” The tour continues until November 3, at which point it ends in Detroit, Michigan.
