Unexpectedly, Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban separated due to…
Nicole Kidman’s original decision to collaborate with AMC Theatres on an advertisement that unintentionally became a cultural phenomenon has been disclosed by Keith Urban.
In a recent interview with Criss Angel’s Talking Junkies podcast, the country music artist shared details about his wife’s popular 2021 commercial.
She took action because, like us, she enjoys watching movies. Urban mentioned the difficulties theaters encountered during the COVID-19 pandemic when he commented, “And it was bad times for the theaters.” “Therefore, when AMC asked her if she would participate in an AMC commercial, it was an obvious choice for her to do so, even if she never would have imagined that would become a cultural phenomenon.”
The actress went on, “We come to AMC Theatres to laugh, to cry, and to care because we need that, all of us,” as she took a seat in the cinema. That unexplainable sensation we have when the lights go down and we travel to a place we have never visited before—somehow feeling not just amused but also rejuvenated, as a group.
Following the commercial’s enormous success, some people recreated the advertisement on social media and even dressed up like Kidman for Halloween.
The actress said she “can not tell you why it worked or why it is gone viral” in an interview with GQ in 2022. What I can tell you, though, is that the response is directly related to how many people are returning to theaters to see the films. And that is thrilling.
