During a recent broadcast of “CNN This Morning,” the 56-year-old anchor claimed that 51-year-old Haley was past her “prime” and that “a woman is considered to be in their peak in 20s and 30s and maybe 40s.”
Heaton, 64, posted a heated Twitter thread on Friday in response to Lemon’s remarks, which were largely viewed as ageist and misogynistic.
“Hey ladies, according to @donlemon, women over 50 are no longer in their prime! The actress said, “Let us begin #primetime and enumerate some of the accomplishments we have made in these lovely later years.”
