UGA Recruiting: Here’s Your Next Big In-State Five Star Who Georgia Will Have Recruited for 4+ Years When His Signing Day Comes
The 2024 recruiting class’s top-ranked talent is on his way to Athens. Dylan Raiola, the quarterback, declared his commitment to Georgia on Monday. The 6-foot-3 talent from Phoenix’s Pinnacle High School is listed as the top recruit in his class by Rivals.com.
Numerous other prestigious universities nationwide, including Alabama, Baylor, Nebraska, USC, Texas, and TCU, expressed interest in Raiola. Raiola even decommitted from the Buckeyes in December after committing to Ohio State in May of last year.
During his junior year in Arizona, Raiola passed for 2,435 yards, 22 touchdowns, and five interceptions. Longtime Lions quarterback Matthew Stafford, who also attended Georgia, is good friends with his father, Dominic Raiola, who played center for the Detroit Lions for 14 seasons.
The Bulldogs, under by head coach Kirby Smart, won their second consecutive national championship earlier this year. Raiola joins defensive back Peyton Woodyard as the second five-star prospect from Rivals.com to pledge to Georgia in the 2024 class. Right now, Michigan and Notre Dame have the finest classes, while Georgia has the third-best.
According to ESPN, Raiola stated, “Georgia’s program is not predicated off of one player or one position group.” “I am dedicated to improving both personally and as a student-athlete. Working with coaches [Mike] Bobo and [Montgomery] VanGorder excites me.
This will come full circle in a fairly interesting way because Uncle Matthew [Stafford] was developed by Coach Bobo while he was at
