Trailer for “The Fabulous Four”: Megan Mullally, Sheryl Lee Ralph, and Susan Sarandon Are…
There are lots of wedding bells in the teaser for the film “The Fabulous Four,” which stars Bette Midler, Sheryl Lee Ralph, Megan Mullally, and Susan Sarandon.
The movie’s synopsis reads, “‘The Fabulous Four’ is an exuberant comedy about a trio of lifelong friends (Sarandon, Mullally, and Ralph) who go to Key West, Florida, to be bridesmaids in their best friend Marilyn’s (Midler) surprise wedding. Sisterhoods are revived, the past comes to light, and there are enough sparks, raunch, and passion over one crazy trip to unexpectedly impact everyone’s life.
In the teaser, we witness Marilyn getting married again only two months after her husband passed away, Lou (Sarandon) shedding her diva persona, and Kitty (Ralph) asking Lou about a kegel ball Marilyn had given her. Though there are a few hiccups along the way, such as Marilyn being dethroned by Lou on TikTok, the four are getting ready for Marilyn’s wedding.
The movie is distributed by Bleecker Street, an independent production company that has worked on movies like “Logan Lucky” and “Captain Fantastic.” It is the product of Southpaw Entertainment and Hantz Motion Pictures. Sissy Spacek left the movie in October due to schedule issues, and Ralph replaced her. Greenwood and Murphy also joined the cast.
The screenplay Jocelyn Moorhouse (“The Dressmaker,” “Proof,” “How to Make an American Quilt”) co-wrote with Ann Marie Allison and Jenna Milly is directed by her. In addition to Lauren Hantz of Hantz Motion Pictures, Richard Barton Lewis of Southpaw Entertainment serves as producer.
