Jodie Foster is the lead in Rebecca Zlotowski’s murder mystery film Vie Privée. The supporting cast members are Daniel Auteuil, Virginie Efira, Mathieu Amalric, Vincent Lacoste, and Luana Bajrami.
The movie’s premise, which stars Foster as the previously disclosed renowned psychiatrist Lilian Steiner, has also been revealed by the production. It centers on Steiner’s inquiry into the death of a patient, whom she believes was murdered.
As the third week of filming, which is scheduled to take place between Paris and Normandy from September 30 to November 22, approaches, there is news about the supporting cast and the plot.
Zlotowski and longtime partner Gaëlle Macé co-wrote the screenplay with Anne Berest, whose credits include Happening, which won Audrey Diwan the Venice Golden Lion, and Other People’s Children.
France 3 Cinéma co-produces the movie with Frédéric Jouve at Les Films Velvet. International sales are being handled by Goodfellas, and Ad Vitam has already purchased the French rights.
