Actress Stana Katic is primarily known to television viewers for her portrayal of Kate Beckett on ABC’s “Castle.” Before Tamala Jones and the actress were abruptly sacked at the conclusion of the eighth season of the romantic drama series, they worked together for a total of seven years. The show is ninth season was subsequently canceled following their abrupt exits (via TVLine). The success of the program made Katic a household name to many for the first time, despite rumors in the years subsequently circulating that she and Fillion did not get along behind the scenes.

Season 3, Episode 14 (“All In”) features a raid on a rug company that serves as a front for the money laundering scheme of the Armenian mob, carried out by Vic Mackey (Michael Chiklis), Shane Vendrell (Walton Goggins), Ronnie Gardocki (David Rees Snell), and Curtis Lemansky (Kenny Johnson). In the process, the group meets young immigrant Ayla (Stana Katic), who is of Armenian descent. Ayla reveals during questioning that the Armenian mob kidnapped her younger sister Sosi (Angela Sarafyan) in order to use her as blackmail. After a brief conversation, Vic concludes that Ayla’s problems are being caused by Margos Diezer (Kurt Sutter), a person with whom he has previous experience.When Vic and the others follow Margos, the notorious criminal manages to get away by stabbing Sosi in the back of the neck, leaving them to decide between catching him and rescuing the girl. They swiftly decide on Sosi, who tragically passes away in the hospital, leaving Ayla devastated.
