With the popularity of their Oscar-winning documentary “Free Solo” and the accolades they have already won for “The Rescue” from the previous year, everyone is curious about filmmaker Elizabeth Chai Vasarhelyi and Jimmy Chin’s upcoming projects. And it seems like they are finally finalizing the cast for “Nyad,” their narrative feature debut.

Jodie Foster and Annette Bening have reportedly signed on to be part of the expanding cast of the directing team’s upcoming narrative movie “Nyad” for Netflix, according to THR. The movie is reportedly going to portray the story of marathon swimmer Diana Nyad, who made history in 2013 by swimming 110 miles from Cuba to Florida without the need of a shark cage. Nyad is 64 years old. For those who are curious about Nyad’s swim time, she completed it in a just 53 hours. Bening will portray Nyad, and Foster will play her friend and coach, Bonnie Stoll.
