The ailment that caused Stevie Nicks to cancel Emo….
During her postponed performance in Glasgow on July 24, Stevie Nicks disclosed that she had been hospitalized for two nights while recuperating from a leg injury.
Following the injury, the former Fleetwood Mac singer’s show in Glasgow on July 6th had to be postponed.
Before she was scheduled to perform at her postponed concert, the 76-year-old told the raucous OVO Hydro crowd in Glasgow that she had to leave the castle where she had been living.
She mentioned that they arrived in Scotland ahead of schedule because they were thrilled to be in Glasgow and that they “liked being here.”
Stevie told the crowd of the moment she realised she needed treatment: “I don’t know what happened, I just got this weird infection, and it just went crazy. “I finally looked at my assistant, it was like two in the morning (we were partying), and said we need to go to hospital.
“I finally looked at my assistant, it was like two in the morning (we were partying), and said we need to go to hospital. “She looked at me and I just said, ‘I’m not kidding’. “Our butler threw me in his car and we sped through the night to a hospital and I was there for two days.”
“I was extremely looked after there,” the singer said, praising the medical staff’s assistance and kindness.
“You people and your country are truly remarkable.”
The “Edge of Seventeen” singer remarked that she was glad she could spend a few more days in the castle because she loved the place and the countryside.
Since the original date had to be changed, it ended up being the final performance of Stevie’s two-year tour. After an emotional performance, Stevie thanked her friends, band, and crew by inviting them all to the stage.
“We have been on the road for two years, and this is the final, final show,” the actress declared.
