Although Smith was ranked as the No. 2 quarterback in the USA Today Florida Top 100, it became clear that Michigan did not regard him as their guy as the Wolverines increased their NIL attempts to support quarterbacks in this cycle and possible transfers.
However, a number of schools have already expressed interest in Smith and see him as a future starter.
