Tensions mount between Sully and Dr. Mike leading up to the wedding when Dr. Mike reveals that she doesn’t want to take Sully’s….
Just over a week remains until Dr. Mike and Sully’s wedding in Colorado Springs—the railroad has finally arrived! The community is busy getting ready for the first train to arrive and organizing the big wedding day. There are a few surprises on it. Dr. Mike’s mother, Mrs. Elizabeth Quinn, and two of her sisters, Rebecca Dickinson and Marjorie Quinn, board the new train first. John, the train conductor, is the same man that Dr. Mike operated on for cosmetic plastic surgery in Halloween II.
Before the wedding, Sully and Dr. Mike get more tense as Dr. Mike says she does not want to take Sully’s name and that she wants him to wear a ring, which he fiercely disagrees with. Worse, along came Dr. Mike’s mother, who brought a trunk full of stuff Mrs. Quinn believes a decent wedding would need. The town’s residents and Mrs. Quinn take charge of organizing a grand celebration, ignoring the bride and groom’s desires to organize their own wedding, and it appears as though Dr. Mike and Sully are losing control over the entire wedding process. Unaware of the potential annoyance to Dr. Mike and Sully—who have recently discovered that Custer had set a reward on Cloud Dancing—Mrs. Quinn even extends an invitation to General Custer.
A notice has been placed at the train station offering a $500 reward for the capture (dead or alive) of Cloud Dancing. Sully tracks down Cloud Dancing to warn him, but is followed by Custer and his army and taken prisoner himself. Though Custer ultimately sets Sully free, his captures causes Sully to miss his rehearsal supper, leaving Dr. Mike to believe he ran off angry because of their recent fighting and doesn’t want to go through with the wedding. Mrs. Quinn and Dr. Mike’s sisters do not help matters as they try to convince Dr. Mike that Sully has run away and left her at the altar.
After Hank tells Marjorie Quinn that she is been acting more and more rudely since arriving, she is jealous of Dr. Mike and has an STD, most likely from her divorced husband Everett. Marjorie Quinn then briefly becomes Dr. Mike’s patient. The episode concludes with Dr. Mike and Marjorie reconciling and stating how glad they are to be sisters.
