As the program's top-rated commitment, Stubbs (6-foot-1, 190 pounds) had been committed to the Hurricanes since July. However, it was long thought that he favored the Gators, but the team's performance and head coach Billy Napier's dubious employment status early in the season turned him off. After UF's most recent huge victory, he was on campus on Sunday. In the end, he became the eleventh prospect Napier had stolen from a rival and/or Power Four institution in the previous sixteen days.
