On Wednesday, Mario Cristobal and the Miami Hurricanes signed 3-Star wide receiver Daylyn Upshaw, who has been a member of the Hurricanes since July of this year, securing another outstanding player from the 2025 recruiting class. He is ranked as the No. 22 player in the state and the No. 63 wideout in the country by 247Sports. He attends Central High School in Phenix City, Alabama. He is ranked among the top 500 prospects in the country. He received offers from more than 20 Div One schools, but in the end, he decided to join the Hurricanes instead of Texas, Georgia, Florida, and other schools. Despite being an undersized target at 5'11" and 180 lbs., Upshaw excels in the slot, using his excellent footwork and route running to get open underneath and cause problems for opposing defenses. He also has great straight-line speed, which could make him a threat for deep balls. ...

With head coach Billy Napier radically altering the course of the Florida Gators program over the past two or more weeks, the flip-athon in Gainesville, Florida, is still going strong. Less than 48 hours before the early signing period opens, four-star defensive back Hylton Stubbs (Jacksonville, FL) committed to join Florida and move away from in-state rival Miami, in a Cyber Monday gift that has allowed the Gators to take advantage of their newfound momentum.   As the program's top-rated commitment, Stubbs (6-foot-1, 190 pounds) had been committed to the Hurricanes since July. However, it was long thought that he favored the Gators, but the team's performance and head coach Billy Napier's dubious employment status early in the season turned him off. After UF's most recent huge victory, he was on campus on Sunday. In the end, he became the eleventh prospect Napier had stolen from a rival and/or Power Four institution in the previous sixteen days.   Stubbs is now the second-highest ranked commitment in Florida's Class of 2025, with a 247Sports Composite ranking of No. 57 overall. ...

BREAKING: Miami lands commitment from local top-150 DB Bryce Fitzgerald for 2025 Program!! Miami, Florida Bryce Fitzgerald, a four-star safety for Columbus who is ranked No. 8 in the 2025 class and 101st overall in the On300, is sticking put. The 5-foot-11, 175-pound safety visited all four schools this summer before committing to Miami on Saturday over Florida, Florida State, and LSU. Fitzgerald, who has had a close relationship with the Hurricanes' staff for the past two years, finally chose to stay in South Florida on Saturday despite the initial excitement around each individual school. With Fitzgerald's commitment, Miami will have 22 commits in the 2025 cycle and will remain in the running for a third consecutive top-10 class (and perhaps a second consecutive top-five class if Miami can eventually flip one or two five-star talents like DJ Pickett). The Hurricanes have not always had a clear lead for the four-star prospect in recent months, but Fitzgerald was recently on campus for an end-of-summer recruiting picnic in late July.
