SAD NEWS:Helen Shapiro just passed away recently..... beginning. I assumed that He was there. Bible stories were taught at the state school where I went, and I really enjoyed them. However, we Jewish children had separate religious education (RE) courses and assemblies because my school had a Jewish headmaster and a sizable Jewish student body. As a result, it was not until I was about six years old that I first heard of the New Testament or Jesus. A non-Jewish girl approached me in the playground one day, clearly upset, and exclaimed, "You killed Jesus Christ!" This charge hurt and perplexed me. Who was this stranger with the odd name Jesus Christ? I had never killed anyone in my life. Paraphrase I had my first hit record when I was fourteen and still enrolled in school. As a result, I entered the entertainment industry, traveled the world, sang in numerous renowned venues, and released additional successful songs, such as "Walking Back to Happiness." I did not think much about spiritual matters until I was in my late sixties, having been swept away by all the fame and meeting royalty and celebrities. Everyone seemed to be looking for the "meaning of life" at the time. ...
