STRYPER Plans To Return To ‘Pop Metal’ Sound On A ‘Few’….
Early in 2024, STRYPER will go into the studio to start recording the follow-up to their album “The Final Battle” from 2022. Frontman Michael Sweet of STRYPER, who writes nearly all of the band’s songs, posted on social media earlier today: “I want to begin composing the new @stryper album this week.

“I also want to return to some ‘pop metal’ on a few tunes, and we want to attempt some new things and expand out a little.”
Michael dispelled rumors a few months ago that “The Final Battle” was the band’s final song. The band is a seasoned Christian hard rock group. In May, Sweet told The Spokesman-Review, “A lot of people believe that because of the title of the album that it is our last album and that this is our last tour.” “However, it is not our last item.”

The Armageddon-themed song “The Final Battle” was released by Frontiers Music Srl in October 2022. Sweet clarified, “The material is about something far broader than our band.” “We have no intention of hanging it up. We will make the announcement that this will be our farewell tour when the time comes. Unlike other bands, we will not pretend that this is our final tour.
