Startling news: music icon Phil Collins was a part of an aircraft accident…
As part of their current tour, Phil Collins and his Genesis colleagues performed live in Berlin, Germany, on Monday night.
The 71-year-old vocalist teamed up with Tony Banks and Mike Rutherford. He stayed sat on a chair the entire time, reminding concertgoers of his deteriorating health even as his vocals delighted them.
Images from the band’s Berlin concert at the Mercedez Benz Arena provided a peek into his limitations on stage, just months after he disclosed he was unable to play the drums.
The “In the Air Tonight” singer was seen gripping his microphone stand while seated in a chair in one picture.
Even with his health issues, a number of rock fans expressed their satisfaction with Collins’ performance.
One person on Twitter on Tuesday stated, “I am not a Genesis diehard, but if I had to choose between Genesis as fronted by Peter Gabriel and the band with Phil Collins as lead singer, I am definitely going with Phil Collins.”
Another user said, “Phil Collins is trending because he is still there for us to tell him we love him.”
