Shannen Doherty, who has stage 4 cancer, has made the decision to “downsize.”….
Shannen Doherty states that in light of her stage 4 breast cancer, she is letting go of certain things.
The actress, 52, discussed how her sickness has affected her priorities in the most recent episode of her podcast, “Let us Be Clear.”
Before becoming emotional, Doherty remarked, “I feel, absolutely, definitely, you should live life to the fullest and cherish life while you are alive,” regardless of whether she had a fatal illness or anything else. “But I think the cancer has really forced me to reflect on my life and change my priorities—at the moment, my mom is my top priority.”
Knowing that her mother Rosa will have a very difficult time if she does not survive cancer, the “Beverly Hills 90210” star expressed her desire to make things “easier” for her mother.
Doherty stated, “I do not want her to have a lot on her plate.” “I refuse to see her with four storage units filled with furnishings.”
She remarked, “None of us truly needs all the material that we have.” We may all benefit from a small amount of downsizing, as I was starting to become with all of my furniture.
Among her passions is furniture, which she describes as her “obsession.” She also discussed her desire to establish a horse rescue on her Tennessee property and her recent visit to pack things up.
“I felt like I was giving up on this idea of developing this land out, putting a house for myself and a house for my mom (there), and then extending the barn,” Doherty remarked. “It was incredibly hard and really upsetting.”
