Sha’Carri Richardson and Julien Alfred glisten in Paris 2024.
At the Monaco Diamond League competition on Friday, Julien Alfred put up a strong performance that solidified her place as one of the top candidates for a medal in the 100 meters at the upcoming Olympic Games in Paris.
In the women’s 100-meter race, Alfred won with a time of 10.85 seconds, besting the times of Dina Asher-Smith and Tamari Davis, who both finished in 10.99 seconds.
Alfred said, “I was really prepared today not to make a mistake and to just focus on myself and my own race,” as she thought back on her run. I felt fantastic throughout the marathon, but after doing a lot of training, my legs are starting to hurt. Naturally, I can not be upset right now because I am winning the Diamond League. With every race, I improve and become a more calm runner. I have self-assurance. I am aware that all I have to do is have faith in both myself and my coach. My coach is aware of what is best for me. I adore the Monaco crowd and how the event was introduced with lights. I will resume my practice and concentrate just on getting ready for Paris.
Alfred’s triumph highlights her improving physical condition and self-assurance as she approaches the Olympics. Her capacity to perform well under duress and keep getting better every race makes her a serious contender for the Paris podium.
