“Scott Daly Shocks World by Choosing Chicago Bears, Solidifying Status as Top Prospect in Class of 2024”
With veteran placekicker Cairo Santos and fourth-round punter Tory Taylor signed to three-year contracts, the Bears will have all three of their key special teams players back for the 2025 campaign after re-signing Daly.
The Bears have also made roster moves to retain several other core special teams players, including Josh Blackwell, Amen Ogbongbemiga and Daniel Hardy — three of their tackling leaders in the third phase from last year.
In the initial days of free-agent discussions for the 2025 season, the Chicago Bears have not spent any time in making roster improvements.
The Bears have reached agreements on contracts with three prominent free agents since the NFL’s legal-tampering window began on Monday: defensive end Dayo Odeyingbo, defensive tackle Grady Jarrett, and center Drew Dalman.
