For the forthcoming ICC World Cup 2023, Sachin Tendulkar has been named the Global Ambassador by the International Cricket Council (ICC).
Before the first match between England and New Zealand at the Narendra Modi Stadium on October 5, he will leave carrying the prized trophy.

“I have a special place in my heart for the World Cup, having played in six editions and serving as a ball boy in 1987. The proudest part of my trip was winning the trophy in 2011,” he stated.
“I am excitedly awaiting the ICC World Cup 2023 because so many elite players are scheduled to compete. He continued, “I hope this edition encourages young girls and boys to take up sports and represent their nations.”
