Roger Federer is making a triumphant return to Wimbledon on…
As Wimbledon gets set to honor Roger Federer, Andy Murray will not be the only men’s grand slam winner to visit Center Court on Tuesday.
Before the action on Center Court starts at 1.30 pm, Federer, who announced his retirement in September of last year, will have a special ceremony to honor his record-breaking eight grand slam victories at SW19.
Following Federer’s debut, attention will shift to the reigning champion Elena Rybakina and eventual Australian Open victor Aryna Sabalenka, who is returning for the first time since 2021 due to the ban on athletes from Belarus and Russia from last year.
World No. 1 Carlos Alcaraz is engaged in an action-packed second, while Cameron Norrie begins his campaign and Murray faces fellow Briton Ryan Peniston.
Nine home favorites are in action on what promises to be a fantastic day of British tennis. Murray and Peniston’s match is slated to take place on Center Court, while Norrie and Tomas Machac’s match is set to take place on Court One.
In other matches, Heather Watson, who advanced to the fourth round of last year, will attempt to overcome 10th seed Barbora Krejcikova, while Katie Boulter, the top-seeded female player in Britain, will open Court 18 against Daria Saville.
