Rick Parfitt has some scathing remarks about his bandmate in Status….
In addition to grappling with the musician’s unexpected passing, Parfitt’s friends and family have also had to confront the words he left unfinished in his memoirs.
In Fighting For Every Heartbeat, his unfinished autobiography, Rick revealed more about his co-founder Francis of Status Quo.
“I want to convey the complete story, warts and all,” he declared. My band responsibilities have prevented me from speaking openly in the past.
But now is the moment to reveal the reality. With Francis, you never know who to expect on a daily basis. Although he is a colorful figure, you never know what color he will be.
The past few years have seen Francis and I drift further apart.
“I think it is pretty clear that he does not really care that much about me. And both parties share the same sentiment.
“Rick Parfitt had been a part of my story for 50 years,” a distraught Rossi remarked.
This was without a doubt the longest relationship I have ever been in, and it was also the most fulfilling, difficult, dynamic, and creative.
